shanelle julia rosita is a Brooklyn-based abstract artist and live illustrator creating singular works across marker, digital drawing, and participatory art experiences.After a 16-year hiatus from making art, she returned to her practice in 2020 and developed the visual language she works in today through relentless experimentation.She does not sketch.
Every line is committed in the moment, allowing instinct, movement, color, and whatever wants to emerge to become part of the finished work.Her practice explores energy, intuition, identity, human connection, and the unseen forces moving through our physical experience. Faces, eyes, bodies, symbols, and abstract forms recur throughout the work, often becoming containers for emotion, memory, relationship, and reflection.Whether working on paper, drawing digitally, creating live in front of an audience, or building participatory experiences, the approach remains the same: the work is created once and allowed to exist as itself. No repeats. No recreations.

Current Projects

One A Day is her ongoing daily drawing practice, created after two years of teaching herself to draw digitally, as a commitment to return to marker and paper. Each drawing is paired with a word and definition and released as a digital collectible, allowing her to strengthen her line quality while intentionally expanding her vocabulary and refining her communication.Through Loop + Line, the experiential creative studio she co-founded, she is actively booking participatory art activations, live creative experiences, and collaborations across technology and finance spaces.Threads Of Us is her latest collaborative project, created with Nigerian artist Fame Identity, exploring the invisible connections that shape who we are and who we become. The collection will be released on the blockchain on October 1 in collaboration with artist and curator Sierra Renee of Ìtàn World, a platform spotlighting West African artists through on-chain and physical exhibitions.Alongside these projects, she continues developing original marker works, live illustration concepts, commissions, and collaborations that bring her practice into physical spaces, brands, and cultural experiences.
